Title: Against the Metric System

Author: Herbert Spencer

Year: 1122z (1898d)

Subject: A critique of the metric system (and the customary-imperial system) and a defense of dozenals.

Written by Herbert Spencer during one of the earlier pushes toward the metric system in Britain, this piece attacks the metric system on a number of grounds. However, it does not defend the customary-imperial system; far from it. It identifies the major problem with both systems as their being decimal, and explains the superiority of dozenal arithmetic.
